Me in 100 (and a little more) words

I have two parents, two siblings and one little, puffy puppy. I am from a suburb in north Atlanta, Georgia. I have not had a “real winter” in a very long time, so I am feeling anxious as the Utah winter approaches. I throughly enjoy cleanliness, clear, crisp mornings, season changes, holidays, mountains and Myrtle Beach, Carolina. I cherish the time I have with family. After I graduate from BYU as a dance major, I hope to get my Masters of Fine Arts and teach dance at a university level. When I have free time, I find myself reorganizing things, creating ballet combinations and choreography in my head, and dreaming of seeing my family again.

  1. Being from Southern California I have not had a real winter in my life. I share in your anxiety for the cold. I am worried about always having to wear my snow jacket around and what you do with it when you are in class. I am also nervous about the snow on the side walks. My shoes are going to be soaked after walking through some snow and ice. This are probably really stupid concerns for people from Utah, but I grew up where you can wear shorts and flip-flops everyday in January.

  2. I can’t help but echo what Philip and you have shared. I’m from Central California and the coldest it gets there in the winter is probably the low fifties. Back in high school when we experienced a cold day I would need a scarf, a pair of gloves, a coat, and a heater. As you can see, I hate the cold and I am the first to admit that I am a wimp who cannot handle cold weather. Thinking of living through a “Utah Winter” is so scary and gives me chills just imagining it. Not to mention, I already have trouble walking on dry ground, adding snow to that equation can never be a good thing.
